About Our Nonprofit
Many Teams. One Purpose.
Many Teams. One Purpose.
Little Rock Student Mountain Biking, Inc. (LRSMTB) is an independent 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 88-0926359. Its own Board of Directors governs it under bylaws adopted May 31, 2026. No school operates LRSMTB.
We support four student mountain bike teams in Little Rock: Capital City Cranks, Catholic High, Little Rock Central, and Mount St. Mary. LRSMTB develops their coaches, runs their shared practices, and funds the season. The teams compete in the Arkansas NICA League. NICA is one way we pursue the mission, not the mission itself.
We build strong minds, bodies, character and communities through cycling.
Every youth is empowered to be part of a thriving and engaged cycling community.
We protect the physical, social, and emotional well-being of every participant.
We create experiences that make young people want to ride, learn, and return.
We build cycling skills, sound judgment, confidence, resilience, leadership, and responsibility.
We welcome every rider and strengthen relationships among teammates, families, schools, coaches, volunteers, and trail partners.
We are organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and amateur sports purposes. Our purposes include:
Promoting youth participation in mountain biking and outdoor recreation.
Advancing physical fitness, wellness, and resilience.
Teaching teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, responsibility, and safety.
Supporting participation in interscholastic cycling programs, including NICA-affiliated activities.
Supporting trail stewardship, environmental responsibility, and public service.
